Networks in Moldova
Small, flat and well covered — with one region where the network changes
No roaming agreement covers Moldova, so a European plan is full rate here.
Chișinău, Bălți and the main roads are well covered, and for a country this size the reach is good throughout — the wine regions around Cricova and Purcari included.
Transnistria, east of the Dniester, operates its own networks. A phone crossing into it registers differently, and roaming arrangements there are not the same as for the rest of the country. If your route passes through, expect the connection and the rate to change at the river.
Moldova eSIM: questions
When does the plan start counting?
From the first connection to a network in Moldova, not from the moment you buy it. Install at home, activate after you land.
Do I get a phone number in Moldova?
Data plans are data only. If you need calls and SMS, pick + Calls & SMS: a number, calls, SMS and data on one line.
Can I use it as a hotspot?
Yes. Hotspot is included, so a laptop or a second phone can share the data.
What if I run out of data?
Top up the same eSIM with another data plan, any time.
